Privacy Policy
FileAmico is built privacy-first. Here’s exactly what that means in practice.
The short version
Most FileAmico tools run entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us. We can’t see them, store them, or share them — because they never reach our servers.
What we don’t collect
- The contents of files you compress, convert, merge or edit.
- The text you paste into text and developer tools.
- Any sensitive data you process with a browser-side tool.
What we do collect
To run the service we collect a small amount of data:
- Account data (optional): if you create an account, we store your email address and plan via our authentication provider, Supabase. You can delete your account at any time.
- Anonymous usage: aggregate, non-identifying counts (e.g. “merge PDF was used”) help us decide what to build next. These never include file contents, and we don’t store your IP address — approximate location is inferred only from your browser’s time zone.
- Saved tool data: a few tools, like dynamic QR codes, store the data you explicitly save so you can edit it later.
Cookies & local storage
We use only essential cookies and on-device storage — for example, to keep you signed in, to remember your light/dark theme preference, and to keep your recent tools and favourites (which never leave your browser). Fonts and icons are served by us, from our own domain — no third-party font or CDN requests.
Advertising & measurement
We run Google Ads to reach new people, and we use Google’s tag for the single purpose of measuring whether an ad led to a sign-up. It is off by default: no advertising or analytics cookies are set unless you choose “Allow” in our consent banner, and you can decline with no loss of functionality. We never use it to track what you do inside a tool, your files are never involved, and we do not run display ads on FileAmico.
Third parties
We keep these to a minimum: Supabase (authentication and the data you explicitly save, such as dynamic QR codes) and Google (Ads conversion measurement, and only after you consent, as above). We don’t sell your data to anyone, ever.
Your rights
You can permanently delete your account and profile at any time from your account page (look for “Delete account”), or by emailing privacy@fileamico.com and we’ll take care of it. Because your files never reach our servers, there’s nothing else of yours for us to hold.
