Is my image uploaded to a server when I scan a QR code?
No. The entire scan runs locally in your browser using your device's built-in barcode reader. Your image never leaves your computer or phone, so it stays completely private and works even on sensitive files.
Why does it say my browser isn't supported?
This tool uses the native BarcodeDetector API, which is currently available in recent versions of Chrome, Edge, and Chrome on Android. If you see an unsupported message, switch to one of those browsers or update to the latest version and try again.
What can I do with the decoded result?
After scanning, the tool shows the raw text contained in the QR code and a one-click copy button. If the content is a web address, it also appears as a clickable link so you can open it in a new tab safely.
